Meet the founder
Gurpreet Singh Komal — a record-holder artist from Moga
Born on August 25, 1973, Gurpreet Singh Komal is the artist, teacher and founder behind Komal Art Gallery, Regd. His practice brings together fine art, large-scale creative achievements, art education and a lasting message of cultural respect and world peace.
Komal is recognized in the Limca Book of Records for passing a ten-metre-long cloth through the eye of a single needle in less than five minutes. The specially prepared cloth was painted with the national flags of different countries and carried messages for world peace.
He is also recognized by the India Book of Records for creating a paintbrush measuring 14 feet 1.5 inches in length and weighing 14 kilograms 700 grams. The giant brush was displayed at Bhupendra Khalsa Senior Secondary School in Moga on February 25, 2011.

Sarabjit Kaur Komal • Wife
World’s largest hand-embroidered Phulkari
Sarabjit Kaur Komal spent 15 years creating a monumental Phulkari entirely by hand. The family records the piece as approximately 12 metres long, 5 feet wide and weighing 4 kg 940 g, with its achievement registered with Genius World Records.
The embroidery celebrates Punjab through detailed cultural scenes. In the photograph above, Sarabjit Kaur is shown presenting a section featuring an old map of Punjab, girls performing kikli and Punjabi gabrus.
Passing a sari through a neem leaf
Gursimran Singh of Moga earned India Book of Records recognition after passing a full-length sari measuring 275 inches long and 46 inches wide through a hole made in a neem leaf in 3 minutes 39 seconds on January 15, 2009.

On April 22, 2015, Ashmeet Kaur created a miniature sketchbook measuring approximately 1 cm × 0.75 cm. Its tiny hand-drawn sketches carried social messages, continuing the family tradition of combining creativity with meaning.
